Kathmandu and Solukhumbu Tour Overview

Trekking Itinerary for Mt Everest Base Camp is a 13-15 day trek with a maximum altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft).

Kathmandu and Solukhumbu Tour Itinerary

Day 1
India to Nepal (Kathmandu).
Day 2
Kathmandu Sight Seen. (NOT INCLUDED IN COST).
Day 3
Flight Kathmandu to Lukla (take first flight at 6am for Lukla). After check in & breakfast at Lukla by 07:30am So day 3 will be our day 1 of the trek.
Lukla 2840 - Phakding 2610.
Day 4
Phakding 2610 - Namche Bazaar 3440.
Day 5
Namche Bazaar (rest day).
Day 6
Namche 3440 to Tangboche 3860.
Day 7
Tangboche to Dingboche 4360.
Day 8
Dingboche Rest/Acclimatization Day.
Day 9
Dingboche to Lobuche 4940.
Day 10
Lobuche to Gorak Shep 5170.
After lunch Trek to EBC 5300. & back to Gorak Shep.
Day 11
Gorak Shep to Kalaphattar 5545. (Return).
After breakfast Trek to Pheriche 4280.
Day 12
Pheriche to Namche 3440.
Day 13
Namche to lukla 2840.
Day 14
Lukla to Kathmandu.

Inclusions

  • Cost for Mt Everest Base Camp & Kalaphattar Trek 76,000/- per person.
  • Cost Inclusions :
  • Nepal Domestic airport Return Flight Ticket for Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu.
  • Airport Pickup & Drop.
  • Accommodation in Lodges during the Trek 3 Meals(Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) + 2 Tea/ Coffee each day during the Trek Sagarmatha.
  • Conservation Area Fees and TIMS Card.
  • Trekking Guide, One Porter for two Trekkers (Maximum 12kg duffel bag per trekker will be carried).

  • Sightseeing in Kathmandu, including Guide, Vehicle and Entry Fees to World Heritage Centres.

  • Tips for Guides and Porters or Staff.
  • Emergency Rescue Insurance (This is mandatory and will cost approx INR 9000).
  • International Flight Ticket, Airport Fees for Nepal, etc.

  • Expenses of Personal Nature (laundry, communication, shopping, etc).
  • Personal Items and Travel Insurance.
  • Bottled Beverages (Soft Drinks, Alcoholic Drinks, Mineral Water, etc), during the Trek and in Kathmandu.

Things to Carry

  • Please check the list below things to carry for EBC trek :
  • This list is based on a peak season trek on the Everest Base Camp (15 days) with porter.
  • Trekking Sack (bag) 55 to 70 ltrs.
  • Trekking Sack (bag) 15 to 35 ltrs. (For day pack).
  • Trekking Shoe with Ankle support.
  • Lightweight rubber or running shoes/sandals (closed foot are best, similar to crocs)- for showers, night time toilet walks.
  • Hiking socks - 3 thick pairs 2 thin pairs. Buy quality hiking socks suitable for the climate you'll be in.
  • Long/short sleeves t-shirt 3 to 4. ( As per your requirements).
  • Trekking Pants & shorts. 3 to 4. (As per your requirements).
  • Rain Jacket.
  • Wild Proof Jacket.
  • Underwear - 4 to 5. Comfortable underwear is essential. Pack both cotton and polyester in case of problems (Friction).
  • Balaclava/ Money Cap.
  • Woolen or peaked hat/Cap Depending on the weather take a hat for both sun and wind protection.
  • Gloves windproof gloves during this season are all that's needed.
  • Quick dry towel Try a medium size rather than bath sized.
  • Sunglasses - 2 make sure you buy genuine UV protection sunglasses. The suns rays are particularly strong the higher up you go. Use a hard case to keep them in to avoid easy breakages.
  • Washing items: soap, small facecloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, tea tree oil and a small water proof toiletry bag or dry bag to carry them in.
  • Water bottles 2 use for drinking 1 ltrs each.
  • Small head torch with extra batteries.
  • Some ordinary plastic bags to keep things in, eg dirty laundry.
  • Chapstick/ Lip Bam for dry lips due to climate and heavy breathing.
  • Tissue paper, small handy pack will do for emergency toilet breaks.
  • First Aid Kit containing paracetamol, bites/burn cream, plasters, small bandage, antiseptic cream.
  • Camera/Video, batteries, charger and memory cards. If using AA batteries, try to get a fast 15 minute charger. Don't forget a socket adapter for your plugs!
  • Sunscreen.
  • Roll on antiperspirant (light bottle) Good for friction burns.
  • Trekking poles - handing for rough terrain.
  • Mints/Chewing gum - good for dry conditions.
  • Chocolates, some dry fruits to eat during the rest between the trek.
  • Swiss Knife & Nail Cutter..
  • Thermal underwear during cold treks can be useful in the mornings, or for sleeping in at night.

Note

  • Mobile Charging/ Camera Charging, Bisleri Water Bottles. Please keep extra money with you during the trek for these expenses.
